In keeping with the work of Paul Marmottan, one of the pioneers of Napoleonic studies, the Académie des beaux-arts is offering two residences in the Bibliothèque et villa Marmottan for researchers working on the First Empire and the first half of the 19th century in Europe. The ten-month residency offers free use of a flat (around 35 m²) next to the Bibliothèque, as well as a monthly pension of 1 500 euros gross.
In 2024, a new program of artistic residencies was inaugurated at Villa Marmottan to complement the research residencies. While one of the studio flats is devoted to music, the Villa Marmottan will be able to accommodate all art forms: choreography, printmaking, photography, performance art, etc.
