Château de Lourmarin

Situated in one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon, the imposing Renaissance Château de Lourmarin is a major cultural center of Provence and the home of the Robert Laurent-Vibert Foundation of Lourmarin, which, in accordance with its founder's wishes, can be considered the "Villa Médicis of Provence". Each summer, the Château welcomes around ten young boarders, painters, sculptors, musicians, researchers, and writers. They benefit from the exceptional setting offered by this historic site, and from the fruitful contacts they can have with artists from all disciplines.

Each year, the Académie sponsors two or three artists, covering their stay for a month in the summer.
