Created in 2018, the Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière – Académie des beaux-arts Photography Award Foundation is submitted to funding this photography prize.
In partnership with the Académie des beaux-arts, the Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière – Académie des beaux-arts Photography Prize was created in 2007. It encourages a photographer, French or working in France, of any age, by helping him or her to produce an original photographic project and bring it to the attention of the public.
Biennial since 2018, this prize is endowed with 30,000 euros. It is awarded alternately with the Académie des beaux-arts - William Klein Photography Prize.
After two years of work, the winning project is presented in an exhibition at the Pavillon Comtesse de Caen of the Académie des beaux-arts (Palais de l'Institut de France).
