With the creation of the new Choreography Section composed of four seats, the Académie des BeauxArts – which already included choreographer Jiří Kylián among its members, as a Foreign Associate – is decisively stepping into dance and highlighting the importance of an ancestral artistic discipline. Choreography has now be acknowledged as indisputably relevant through the quality and diversity of its productions as well as the enthusiasm of its audiences.
